Grow your own olives with an Arbequina Olive Tree. The Arbequina Olive Tree is fast growing, early flowering, and grows high quality olives that can be eaten fresh, brined, or milled into oil. Arbequina Olive Trees are adaptable to a wide variety of soil types and conditions. They bloom fragrant blossoms that produce a heavy harvest of fruit. The Arbequina Olive Tree can be grown in the ground in USDA Zones 8 to 10, and in a pot in Zones 4 to 7.

Arbequina Olive Trees grow to a height of 15 feet and a width of 15 to 20 feet, and can tolerate temperatures as low as 20 degrees F. They do best in well drained soil and full sun. Since the trees are small, you can grow one in a smaller garden or yard, or even in a container on a patio or deck. This makes it convenient to have your own olive tree for gathering quick, fresh olives for adding to recipes, drinks, and snacks.

Cold hardy down to 10 degrees F, The Celeste Fig Tree is fast growing and produces delectable, sweet fruit ideal for eating fresh, making jams, or preserving. The trees are resistant to many pests and diseases that plague other fruit trees, and they produce large crops of figs. All of these attributes make the Celeste Fig Tree one of the most desirable fruit trees you can grow.

Also called the Celestial Fig, the Celeste Fig grows to a mature size of 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide. The trees are a striking bright green with large leaves that can be as big as 10 to 12 inches across. The big leaves protect the fruit from the direct sunlight the tree needs to grow at its best. The fruit features a closed eye habit, that stops rot, and certain insects from attacking the ripening figs. This, combined with the Celeste Fig Tree’s fast growing nature, is what helps the tree make so many delicious, nutritious figs.

Goji Berries have become the darling of the natural health and nutrition world due to studies that indicate their possible ability to relieve depression, support the immune system, and stabilize blood sugar to name just a few potential benefits. The Goji Berry Plant comes from Southeast Asia and South Africa where it is sometimes called wolfberry or boxthorn. This erect shrub-like plant can also extend stems like a vine, and can be grown in USDA Zones 5 to 11. Goji Berry Plants can reach heights of twelve feet in ideal conditions, but they can also be kept much smaller by pruning.

Goji Berry Plants are self-fertile and will bloom their purple or sometimes cream colored flowers throughout the warm months. The Goji Berries are ready to pick about four to six weeks after the plants bloom, and the one-inch fruits ripen to bright red or orange. The berries can be eaten fresh, juiced, or (most commonly) dried and used as a dried fruit snack or cooking ingredient. Goji Berries are considered a superfood and contain protein, essential amino acids, iron, calcium, and Vitamins A and C. Add a few Goji Berry Plants to your edible landscape and begin harvesting this natural wonder berry at home.

The Flordagold Peach Tree grows delicious medium-sized peaches with firm yellow flesh and a yellow-red blushed skin. The Flordagold Peach Tree requires a short chill period, so it is good for growing in warmer climates. You can grow a Flordagold Peach Tree in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 5 to 9, where it will do best in the ground, in a sunny spot, with well-drained soil.

Flordagold Peach Trees grow to between 12 and 20 feet tall. They can be pruned to help maintain a balanced shape and to keep the tree smaller overall. These peach trees are self-pollinating, so you only need a pollinator tree if you want to grow even more peaches. If you are limited on space, the smaller tree size makes the Flordagold Peach Tree a good variety for growing in a pot. The Flordagold is a versatile, sweet peach that is suited to warmer areas and is easy to grow.

Ein Shemer Apple Trees reach mature heights of between 15 and 25 feet, and widths of up to 20 feet. Plant them with at least 12 feet of space on all sides, in a spot that gets at least 6 hours or more of direct sunlight per day. Ein Shemer Apple Trees will still grow and produce blooms and fruit if they receive some periods of light shade in the morning or afternoon, but the more sun the better. They are somewhat tolerant of drought, but much prefer periodic slow deep watering.

Prune Ein Shemer Apple Trees in winter after leaves have fallen, but before new spring growth appears. In some warmer areas such as California, Texas, and Florida Ein Shemer Apple Trees can bloom as early as January. Once the tree blooms, pruning is not recommended until the following dormant period in winter. Cut branches to shape the tree into a funnels shape. Cut away dead wood and remove any low suckers or abnormally vigorous vertical growth.

The 20th Century Asian Pear (also known as the Shinseiki Asian Pear) is a productive grower that produces sweet, round, yellow pears with off-white, juicy, crisp flesh. 20th Century Asian Pear Trees bloom white flowers in early spring, and their fruit is ripe in late August. They do best in full sun and loamy well-drained soil. They are resistant to extremes of heat and cold, and will grow to about 10 feet tall and 7 feet wide.

20th Century Asian Pear Trees can be grown in the ground in USDA Zones 4 to 9. These trees need between 8 and 12 feet of space on all sides to accommodate growth. It is also good to place 20th Century Asian Pear Trees where they will have some air flow. Air flow helps to reduce fungus which can have a negative effect on new growth and blooms. A planting location with room for growth in an open, sunny spot is better than a crowded corner surrounded by walls, dense brush, or buildings.
